Duncan: Host
Born in Hong Kong, grew up in Macau, moved to San Francisco when I was 12. I love to travel, climb mountains, go on adventures/expeditions, love ice cream, canyoning/river tracing, experience life, outdoors and camping...I'm young at heart. After turning 30, I realized that I don't want to have the same daily routines: go to work, go home. I wanted more in life, therefore, I started backpacking around the world, discover new places, and experience a different way of life. I wanted to see what I am capable of and discover a bit more about me. It took some courage to make this decision, but I'm glad I did. I hope my experiences and stories can be shared with more people, and I encourage people to step out of their comfort zone and see the world.
Most likely, you'll regret the things that you didn't do, not the ones you did.
People will always tell you that you can't do something, because they can't do it themselves.
Truman : Host
I grew up in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. In addition, I'm a vegan activist and an animal rights advocate.
I spent my life saving money. However, as was getting older, I decided to leave everything behind because I wanted to change my lifestyle. My life's journey went on a completely different path and I was able to see a new world I had never thought of. After my travels, I become someone who follows my heart instead of trying to make sense out of everything.
Like my friend Duncan, I hope Dare to Travel Podcast would inspire people who want to explore the world but not yet confident enough to do so. I want to encourage others by storytelling. I want people to pursue their dreams, overcome fear, to answer their heart calling, and explore this world. Most importantly, I want people to become a better version of themselves.
Keep doing what you know in YOUR HEART is right for you. Let your DREAMS be bigger than your fears and your ACTIONS louder than your words. Live by choice, not by chance. Make Changes, not excuses. Be motivated, not manipulated. Work to excel, not compete. Choose to listen to your INNER VOICE, not the jumbled opinions of everyone else. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.
